Traveling and tasting throughout Eastern Spain in search of the perfect Marcona, we struck gold when we met Llorens who, believing in the essence of the almond itself, simply blanches and very lightly fries the nuts in extra virgin olive oil. The result is a macadamia-textured, perfectly salted, enticingly dry nut.

I tried the Marcona's from Whole Foods, but these are way better. The other brand says it has palm oil, but these seem much better for you. They are dry, but still have the great flavor from the olive oil. they could use a touch more salt, but thats just my preference. I guess it is better to have less salt than to have too much. -Jay
